Infant Room Recital

Reagan participated in her first school recital on Thursday!  And I say recital very generously as the infant room was only responsible for one song... Jingle Bells, which meant the teachers were singing along to music and the kids were supposed to shake their bells.  They all walked into the room bright-eyed to see a mass amount of people clapping for them and then they sat down in their line to begin their performance.  Unfortunately, once they all saw their parents they decided to make a run for it.  It was still an absolutely adorable attempt at Christmas cheer by the infants, loved it :)

She really was excited to go to school, despite the look on her face above.
She was just upset I put her down & couldn't pick her up right away.

From L to R: Miss Nadine, Aiden, Sophia, Miss Stephanie, Gioviana, Reagan, Leo, David, & Miss Barb
Most of the kids decided to get up in the middle of the song once they saw their parents.

Safe & sound with her Daddy, and ready to go on Christmas break until the new year!

Cousin Love

Seriously, how cute are these two?

Here Comes Santa Claus

Reagan met the big guy.... yes, SANTA CLAUS!!!!  Unfortunately, she wasn't as impressed with him holding her as she was when she was smiling and waving to the jolly man in red while her Daddy was holding her.  Her smile turned upside down and immediately the tears started rolling down her face.  Thankfully, the photographer was able to capture this iconic childhood moment in a very artistic way and it simply looks like Reagan is so enamored by Santa that she just couldn't take her eyes off of him :)

On a bah-hum-bug note, Santa's schedule for taking pictures was extremely inconvenient to those of us mall go-ers who thought we had a good idea getting there before the dinner hour.  We arrived at Santa's traveling workshop at about 4:15 only to find out that Santa was done with pictures and wouldn't be returning until 6:05.  That meant we had to occupy ourselves and tired mini-toddler for almost two hours while not completely ruining her outfit (or mood).  You would think with how busy this man is for the month of December that he'd be prepared for the long haul of picture taking and present giving, and not worried about dinner breaks during busy hours!

A Typical Saturday in Our House

So a typical Saturday morning in our house consists of waking up around 7, getting Reagan from her crib and bringing her into bed with us for quality snuggle time.  After about 45 seconds of this, Reagan decides it's time to see if Mickey ("ickey") is on the TV or not, which entails climbing around the bed until she finds the remote on either of our nightstands and then going "ickey" while handing us said remote.  Not long after this charade, Reagan slinks off the bed and starts making a ruckus of the upstairs... taking out anything she can get her hands on.

As we proceed to go downstairs, Reagan has her OCD list of priorities that have to be accomplished (and she lets you know in what order she wants to do these)... first is turn off the alarm, then turn on the ipod dock in her playroom for constant background noise and finally we go and say good morning to Roxie.  Pictures to come, but Reagan will actually sit on the floor next to Roxie's bed and just look at her.  After breakfast we usually do a wardrobe change, which results in Reagan wanting to run around the house in just her onesie and socks.  And for those of you that know Reagan, she is obsessed with her hat basket and will pick one out to wear around the house.

Family Time... FINALLY!!

Just in time for the Christmas season, we finally have our quality family time back!  Ryan finished his last final of his first semester at Rutgers Camden Law School on Monday night and obviously he's very relieved to have a much needed break in the weeks ahead.  So are Reagan and I :)
