Finally Going Home

We finally got discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, 11/10 and got to take Reagan home to see her new digs and meet her puppy dog, Roxie!  Reagan's final check-up with the hospital pediatrician was great and she passed with flying colors!!  She was discharged weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces - only a 2% loss of body weight, not too shabby.

Daddy & Reagan waiting for the final discharge...

We got the munchin bundled up in her car seat and off we went.
Reagan was great in the car and didn't make a sound.  We even took the risk of making a pit stop on the way home for some much needed energy - aka Starbucks.

Welcome to your new home, Reagan!

Reagan's new best friend, Roxie.

Roxie was great with the baby at first introduction and has been ever since.  She will do an initial smell check to make sure it's the same baby every time, and besides the occasional bark at the baby's cries, she is generally unphased by Reagan.  A relief to us both since was our first baby and had all of our attention for the past four years.

Grandpop stopped by to check in on us and make sure we all got home okay and were settled!

Our first day at home was very uneventful as we were all exhausted from the craziness of the previous few days.  The realization that we were home and on our own hadn't set in until bedtime when we were ready to fall asleep and Reagan was just waking up.  Definitely an adjustment for Ryan and I since we were both very accustomed to a good night's sleep.
